Captain America: The Winter Soldier – Good but not that great!

Posted on April 7th, 2014

Watched a Hollywood movie after a long time. Last one was Captain Phillips, an awesome movie. Since I’m not a huge Captain America fan didn’t expected a lot from the movie. In all movie was a good watch but my experience was affected by the pathetic cinema I chose to watch the movie, Satyam Cineplexes, Patel Nagar, Delhi. It must be the best cinema hall to get worst 3D experience in Delhi!

For me movie lacked any iconic scene that I’ll remember for long and that unnecessarily emotional fight scene at the end was the deal-breaker. Though after Iron-Man 2 I resist watching too many promos for an upcoming action movie still sadly whatever WOW moments movie had were already there in the trailer itself. Ever since Avengers I always feel where are other Avengers when world is in so much danger in these Marvel movies 😛

Another disappointment for me was the look of Scarllet Johansson, didn’t liked her in those straight hairs and she was looking way more awesome in earlier appearances as Black Widow. And most importantly there were too many twists in the storyline for my liking.

Scarllet Johansson as Black Widow

Irrespective of all these there were some nice sequences. Loved that sequence of attack on Nick Fury, it was fast paced and nicely shot. Lighter moments in movie between Black Widow and Captain America were enjoyable. And movie was successful in laying a great platform for coming Marvel movies as there were some dramatic twists considering Marvel universe. I’ll be eagerly waiting for Avengers: Age of Ultron if not X-Men: Days of Future Past.

So, definitely watch Captain America if you love action, sci-fi and chose your theater wisely to get best movie experience, unlike me 🙂

And don’t miss that end scene after credits 😉
